Founders award is given periodically to a senior dermato-epidemiologist whose work has advanced the care of dermatological disease and has inspired and mentored the careers of junior dermatoepidemiologists. We are pleased to announce that the 2017 recipient of the Founders Award is Dr. Meg Chren.

Dr. Meg Chren has been a pioneer in developing measurements for both clinical outcomes and complex patient-reported outcomes. Dr. Chren developed the Skindex, which has been highly influential to our field. In addition, Dr. Chren has been a key mentor to many junior dermatoepidemiologists. She advocated for junior dermatoepidemiologists to obtain the same resources as those of basic scientists. Dr. Chren's mentorship and advocacy have been instrumental to the careers of many dermatoepidemiologists. She is richly deserving of this recognition.  Please congratulate Dr. Chren on this award!

Please join us at the ADEN meeting on April 28, 2017 at noon in the Oregon Convention Center – B117/B118/B119 for the Founders Award Presentation and Dr. Chren's lecture.
